Where Is My Fucking Salutation?
A coworker of mine starts all her emails thusly: “Hi.” Not “Hi Meg.” Or “Dear Meg.” Or “Hi Extremely Competent Person.” Just, “Hi.” And it’s not just me. She emails everyone this way — the people she manages, her supervisor, our CEO, outside contacts, EVERYONE AND THEIR MOTHER. “HI.”

…the cats smell like lavender. Ha! I crack myself up. Really. I suppose I should explain.
The manlover is in Chicago on business for the week. The cats… well, the cats are being disciplined. Finally.

Sound Investment
Two months ago I randomly stumbled upon a little vase. Asymmetrical and on sale, it was love at first sight. The landlord was all “what are you ever going to put in that?” Umm, everything? Little vases cheer up all spaces — bathrooms, kitchen sinks, dressers, you name it. And there’s always the random blossom that seems made for small vases.
