We’re back! We’ve actually been back for the better part of the week, but seeing as the landlord took the week off, I did too. We ambled, shopped, ate, drank, ate and drank some more, ate and drank even more… you get the picture. It was a fab week off (and a wonderful visit at home with the fam) and I’m feeling rather refreshed and looking forward to getting back to the grind. Insomuch as “the grind” is writing this here blog. And snuggling kittens. And finishing Freedom by Jonathan Franzen, which may be the longest I’ve ever taken to read a book. (The shame!)
I gave this arrangement to Pun upon our arrival. Something fresh and pretty and bright to add a bit of sparkle to our kitchen over the holidays. White roses and freesia and evergreens — it smelled divine.
I’m bummed the holidays are over. They were especially lovely for me this year. And on that note, Happy New Year!
