The landlord and I took a mini road trip yesterday to Frederick, Maryland. We didn’t stay long or check out any of the historic sites; our mission was to take a scenic drive and stop at one of the dairy farm ice cream shops featured on NPR last Friday. We had a very late (think serious case of the hangries) and subpar lunch at a pub on Market Street, which seemed befitting. Neighboring top-dollar Volt aside, are you ever really going to find decent food in a small historic town?
No matter. The pretty drive along ambling country roads was what we were after, and we both enjoyed the change in scenery. It was such a gorgeous day. Not bad for an impromptu Sunday.
